Kiteworks Named Founding Member of NIST Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute Consortium
Kiteworks’ expertise in sensitive content communications data privacy and compliance provides unique contribution
San Mateo, Calif., February 14, 2023 – The U.S. White House announced groundbreaking collaboration between OpenPolicy and leading innovation companies, including Kiteworks, which delivers data privacy and compliance for sensitive content communications through its Private Content Network. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC) will act as a collaborative platform where both public sector and private sector leading organizations will provide guidance on standards and methods in the development of trustworthy AI.

This initiative aligns with President Biden’s Executive Order on Artificial Intelligence, focusing on key priorities, such as red-teaming, capability evaluations, risk management, safety, and security guidelines, and watermarking synthetic content.

Raimondo, “Through President Biden’s landmark Executive Order, we will ensure America is at the front of the pack – and by working with this group of leaders from industry, civil society, and academia, together we can confront these challenges to develop the measurements and standards we need to maintain America’s competitive edge and develop AI responsibly.”
